2003 Conference Summary

The conference agenda was developed to address the interests and needs of the delegates. An advisory group with representatives from around the world assisted in this.

The conference ran from Monday 21 July 2003 to Friday 25 July 2003.

Keynote speaker

Professor Martien Molenaar was the keynote speaker for the opening session. Professor Molenaar is Rector of the International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, based in the Netherlands. He has published over 130 papers, especially in the fields of geodesy, photogrammetry, GIS and remote sensing.

Workshops

The exhibition ran from Monday evening, 21 July 2003, through to the end of Wednesday, 23 July 2003, and featured companies and organisations with relevance to national mapping and geographic information.

On Friday 25 July 2003, there were a series of visits to mapping organisations in Britain.
